What Is MAINx24?
MAINx24 is a 24-hour creative community led festival held on the first Saturday of December along Main Street in Chattanooga’s Southside.
Creative Community focused — built by the people, culture, shops, restaurants, artists, churches, nonprofits, and residents who call the neighborhood home, each hosting their own event during the same around-the-clock celebration. Over one full day, the Southside fills with parades, Fireman pancake breakfasts, open studios, live music, chili cook-offs, and late-night dance parties — hundreds of events, nearly all free, strung together over 24 hours. What began as a grassroots way to showcase a reawakening Main Street has become one of Chattanooga’s most beloved traditions: a day when the whole city is invited to see what a neighborhood can do when it throws its own party. Some call it the BEST DAY EVER!
Our Mission
MAINx24 celebrates the people, places, and creative spirit of Chattanooga through 24 continuous hours of community-made events. From sunrise to sunrise, we open our doors, streets, parks, and our Firehall to invite the whole city to experience the neighborhood the way we do — together.
Our Vision
A creative community where connection is a way of life — where neighbors, artists, bakers, firemen, businesses, and more shape their own celebration, and where one day a year reminds Chattanooga what a neighborhood can be every day.
“Reflecting the creative culture that is Chattanooga and allowing our community to celebrate all that it is."
