Yarn Bombing Community Craft

Scenic Stitches is partnering with the downtown Hot Chocolatier to host a yarn bombing event!

Yarn bombing is a form of street art that involves covering objects or structures (trees, benches, railings, etc) with crocheted or knitted materials.

For MAINx24, Scenic Stitches will be covering two of the trees outside The Hot Chocolatier. Donated yarns and materials will be available to use, free of charge, and participants will be invited to add their motif to the yarn bombing outside. Grab a hot chocolate and let’s get crafty!

For those who know how to knit or crochet, suggested patterns will be presented for a quick make. For those who do not know how to knit or crochet, we will have pompom makers, tassel makers, and the opportunity to sample the craft.
